MC OJ and The Rhythm Slave
‘Joined at The Hip’/ ‘Burntime’ 12 inch single   Wildside Records NZ

This was Rogers first real foray in the recording studio with his long time friend and fellow hip hop fiend DLT. The A side is a remix of a song from OJ and Slaves debut album. The B side Burntime is an original composition written in the studio with collaborator DLT, and includes the first recording by MC Danny D who went on to form Dam Native, NZ’s premier Maori hip hop group. Burntime was considered to be a benchmark for future hip hop artists in NZ to rise to.

The Headless Chickens
‘Don de Esta’ (remix) Flying Nun Records NZ

Upon Rogers return to NZ from the UK in 1991 he teamed up again with close friend Grant Fell to work as tour DJ for the Headless Chickens on their NZ tours and began to contribute samples and breaks for the band working with their keyboard and sampling whiz Michael Lawry. He was invited to work with the band on a remix for their follow up to the internationally successful ‘Cruise Control’ single. This was the result.
